EvoX Biolabs RETATRUTIDE 20mg — Folding Carton & Serialization Architecture
Secondary packaging engineering and clinical graphic design for an advanced biotechnology peptide formulation.
1. Project Context & Brief
EvoX Biolabs required a secondary folding carton for its lyophilized 20mg Retatrutide peptide along with a 3ml bacteriostatic water vial. The packaging needed to satisfy dual objectives: convey absolute clinical legitimacy for hospital and clinical trials, while guaranteeing structural protection against shock during temperature-controlled refrigerated logistics.
2. Technical & Regulatory Constraints
The layout required integrating mandatory pharmacopeia elements into a compact carton footprint (145 × 95 × 38 mm):
- A dedicated unvarnished white reserve area strictly calibrated for automated online laser serialization (GS1 Datamatrix, GTIN, Lot, Exp).
- High-contrast clinical typography ensuring immediate dosage legibility under hospital lighting conditions.
- Tamper-evident closure tabs indicating first-opening integrity.
- Multi-language reconstitution guide integrated into a 6-panel accordion fold leaflet.
3. Engineering & Graphic Execution
We created the 1:1 vector CAD dieline with optimized glue flaps compatible with high-speed carton erecting machinery. The graphic identity combines a surgical navy blue background with crisp white typography and a vibrant red dosage accent. Dedicated Pantone spot inks were separated to ensure color consistency across print runs.
4. Final Deliverables
Certified PDF/X production package delivered to the converter, along with vector dieline layers, ink coverage verification, and photorealistic 3D virtual packshots used in medical communication.
